What we do?

An increasing number of customers come to us asking for managed Linux server support and maintenance.

• Backups

Scheduled daily backups, either to disk, remote server or local tape.

• Security updates and bug fixes

We will monitor your system and apply security updates and patches as necessary. This should make your site immune from the run-of-the-mill automated attacks, allowing you to be confident that any confidential data on the server is secure.

• Monitoring

We use a combination of local and remote monitoring. Local monitoring entails checking that all expected processes are running (e.g. Apache, MySQL, a.n.other database etc) and that they are responding to requests, and run on the server itself.

Remote monitoring entails ensuring the server is alive, and reachable from an external site. In the event of failure, we will be automatically notified and will take remedial action.

Why?

This is ideal for customers who have minimal inhouse Linux server expertise, yet their online presence is a critical part of their business (for instance online shops etc).
