When we founded Pale Purple, our first website was built using Plone – however we weren’t able to find anyone in the UK to host it – so we did it ourselves, and began to offer it as a service to others.
We can accommodate any combination of Python, Zope or Plone as your requirements dictate.
Flexibility
With our Zope hosting packages you gain the following :
- The ability to install bespoke or third party products
- The ability to decide what version of Zope and/or Plone you are using (or install your own) (e.g. through use of a buildout)
- The ability to SSH into the server and restart the Zope process
- Bandwidth reporting / Apache log file access
- Optional domain registration and management
- Freedom to leave at any time
- Nightly automated off-site backups
- PostgreSQL or MySQL database connectivity
- Automated service monitoring and automatic restart in the event of failure
- Varnish (a reverse proxy) is used to improve performance/scalability
- Optional High Availability clustering to ensure site/application availability

What we do
We provide the platform for hosting your own Zope or Plone application, taking responsibility for the systems administration of the hosting server and associated maintenance tasks.
